Mural Guard is a public art protection app that enables people to learn about artists in the Chicagoland area, add new murals, and report incidents of destruction to public art.
Chicago lacks an efficient system for reporting mural vandalism and accessing information about murals, hindering efforts to protect and preserve these artistic expressions. With the efforts of community research, Mural Guard was created to promote artists, spread awareness, and create a tangible and accessible way to keep community connected through art.
